Q2 2024 Film & Television App Performance on Android in Australia

In the second quarter of 2024, the Australian Android market for Film & Television apps witnessed fluctuating user engagement and download figures. Data from Sensor Tower offers insights into the performance of the leading applications in this category.

Disney+ experienced a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at around $520K in late April before stabilizing to nearly $497K by the end of June. Downloads for the app peaked at nearly 20K in mid-April, while weekly active users saw their highest at nearly 590K in the same period.

For 10 play, which operates on a non-revenue model, downloads showed a strong increase in late April with over 21K downloads, and weekly active users reached a high of over 150K towards the end of May.

Amazon Prime Video had modest revenue numbers, with a slight increase to $125 in the last week of June. Downloads saw a significant jump to over 20K in the first week of June, and active users showed a consistent upward trend, finishing at over 214K.

Paramount+ displayed a revenue peak in mid-May at over $141K, with downloads reaching almost 20K in the same period. Weekly active users, however, dipped to around 64K by the end of June.

Tubi: Free Movies & Live TV maintained a download count that peaked at over 17K in late April. Weekly active users for Tubi showed a high of over 60K in the same month but experienced a decrease to approximately 46K by the quarter's end.
